I happened to stumble on a hazy old photo of a Sioux Indian on horseback with full headdress holding what appeared to be a rifle. He is wearing long leggings, like chaps.  I saw him as a lone ghostly figure, a silhouette,  out on the plains of long ago.  The photo held my attention so I painted it as my mind’s eye saw him. I wonder whatever happened to him.
